A visitor of Melkweg must be a member or become one in order to purchase entry tickets and gain access to its events. Melkweg is a non-profit organisation with a wide range of cultural events on offer; with your membership fee you support Melkweg’s targets and financial exploitation. It is true that Melkweg also receives an annual subsidy from the Amsterdam city council to this end, but this only covers 8% of our budget.

You become a member of Melkweg by purchasing a monthly membership (€ 4,00) or an annual membership, better known as the Melkweg Card. The latter card offers many advantages throughout the year. Melkweg Card holders have free admission to a minimum of three selected concerts or performances each month. The Melkweg Card gives a discount on regular club nights. When possible, special presales are organised for concerts for which tickets are in great demand. The Melkweg Card also gives a 10% discount at the Amsterdam record shop Concerto in the Utrechtsestraat.

The Melkweg Card and all its advantages comes at a price of only € 25.00 a year. If you do not wish to purchase the Melkweg Card you can always buy a monthly membership for € 4,00.

The membership also gives discount on the purchase of tickets for events in Melkweg Cinema and Melkweg Theatre and on the weekly dance night Ctrl+Alt+Dance on Saturday. The Melkweg Card gives you an extra discount at Melkweg Theatre.

The monthly membership can be purchased directly together with your presale tickets. While purchasing online tickets select the number of membership tickets [‘Lidmaatschap’] under ‘Add to My Order’. Every membership ticket is valid for one person. A monthly membership costs € 4,00.
