IN-EDIT is back! From 11 to 21 April the sixth edition of the music documentary festival takes place at the Melkweg. Again many great music films will be screened this year, like this short documentary about indie classical performer Brendan J. Walsh, with Q&A!

Director Charlotte Koenka delves into the intricate tapestry of indie classical performer Brendan J. Walsh's creative and personal journey. Spanning over two years, the documentary weaves a close-knit narrative through intimate conversations that unveil Walsh's multifaceted persona and familial intricacies and reflect a profound exploration of relationships set against the backdrop of music. Stemming from a dialogue between friends, the project blossoms into a vulnerable and revealing exploration, with Koenka steering the narrative to capture Walsh's essence—both as a musician and an individual. This journey of vulnerability, underpinned by mutual trust and growth, mirrors the evolving dynamics between the filmmaker and her subject, offering a raw and emotive glimpse into the soul of an artist.

After the film, a Q&A with director Charlotte Koenka will take place.

Melkweg often hosts different types of programmes at the same time, such as concerts, club nights and films. Please note that there may occasionally be some noise pollution from other programmes during the screening.
