The story of Smoove & Turrell began in 2000, where a group of working class lads from Newcastle got together out of a common love of soul music. The group's lyrics reflect a strong social commitment. The release of albums "Antique Soul" and "Mount Pleasant" delivered their breakthrough to the general public. In that recognizable sound of raw realism and danceable energy, the soul formation released their seventh album "Red Ellen" in 2023. A new record that not only has a positive message, but also remains rooted in the authentic reality of working class life of their homeland.
