The Finnish quartet Apocalyptica has a unique line-up consisting of three cellists and a drummer. In 1996 the Fins surprised the whole world with ‘Plays Metallica by Four Cello’s’, an album filled with tasteful arrangements of Metallica classics. Meanwhile the band transformed from a cover band into a creative metal force in its own right. Last year the band released album no. 8, ‘Shadowmaker’, recorded with singer Franky Perez (Slash, Scars on Broadway), who is also coming along on this tour.
