Fatherson is a Scottish rockband originally formed at high school in Kilmarnock. After the release of their self-titled EP they played shows with Panic! At The Disco, Frightened Rabbit and Admiral Fallow. Their debut album, I Am an Island -- for which they drew influences from the rich heritage of Scottish alternative music -- was released early in 2014. The success of their debut encouraged them to return to the studio in 2015. Their sophomore record, Open Book, showcased a more mature sound than their debut, despite being released only two years later in early 2016.
