Meet Joshua J, a multitalented artist hailing from The Netherlands! Joshua J has been involved with music for as long as he can remember. His musical jouney began with playing the piano at only 6 years old. As a teenager he started to expand his artistry by DJ’ing and writing his own songs as a producer. This eventually led up to the release of his debut Ep called ‘Flowers’, which released late 2017 and got supported by the one and only ‘Dr. Dre’ in his ‘Beats of the week’ playlist on Apple Music.
Right after the EP launch Joshua J started writing down some childhood events he went through growing up in a foster family. This shift resulted in his first vocal release called ‘Lock My Door’ which right now is headed towards 3 million streams on Spotify!
This multitalent went from being a DJ and making his own beats to eventually doing his own vocals and performing live on stage as a support act for artists like: Anderson .Paak, Saba, Boyz II Men, ODIE, Col3trane and many others. On march 8 of this year he released his debut album ‘1998’ which got supported by the likes of BBC’s ‘Julie Adenuga’, Complex UK, Earmilk, London in stereo and Faceculture.
In collaboration with Dutch filmmaker ‘Patrick Jansen’ he made a documentary in which the story of ‘Joshua J’ is being told by himself and all the people who witnessed his personal/music developement from
