With a look somewhere between Adam Ant and Prince and a sound that blends shimmering pop, alternative rock and electric-folk, London-based singer/songwriter Charles Costa burst onto the scene in 2012 with his critically acclaimed debut "Love Blood, shortly after winning the prestigious “International Songwriter Of the Year” award. After an extensive international tour, he released his second album "Gamble for a Rose" in 2016, which was produced by Marcus Mumford. Costa returned to his folk roots whilst keeping a modern edge to his sound. 2020 sees Costa team up once again with Matthew Wilder on “Out of my Mind”. The album is a self-confession of his battle with mental health and explores the core themes of "love, loneliness, sex and suicide" while the sound is carried by raw energy and emotion. His new sound may well come as a surprise, as it draws you in unexpectedly; Costa bravely pushes the boundaries of an artist where his contemporaries dare tread. In the summer of 2021, Charles started the Feelgood Jog for "Regenerate UK" and ran 40 marathons in 40 days. After each run, he played another show. Now it's been five years since we were able to experience King Charles on the stages of Europe - in March 2022 he will be on the road with his entire band!
