Mike + The Mechanics

Let Me Fly Tour 2017

Support: Ben McKelvey

While Phil Collins was pursuing his solo career, Genesis bassist/guitarist Mike Rutherford formed the pop/rock band Mike + the Mechanics. The group released its self-titled first album late in 1985. The record produced two Top Ten hit singles, "Silent Running (On Dangerous Ground)" and "All I Need Is a Miracle," which both peaked on the charts in early 1986. TodayMike Rutherford has much to smile about and forthcoming ninth album 'Let Me Fly' distils everything that’s right about Mike + The Mechanics: the songwriting, the life-affirming uplift and the undercurrent of quirk.

Support: Ben McKelvey

Singer-songwriter Ben Mckelvey grew up in West London listening to classic songwriters like Springsteen, Dylan, Cash and Joe Strummer. As a teenager he formed a band called Fluid Lines together with his friends, but after a few successful years, the group went their separate ways in 2011. Ben McKelvey made a switch from the drums to guitar and set out as a solo artist.
