Since their last European tour in 1992, Sniff’n’the Tears have continued to record and have released four albums, but despite frequent talk of getting the band back on the road they hadn’t performed live. Les had the idea of playing as an acoustic duo with Paul, and together they launched the acoustic project with a fantastically received sell-out show in London in October 2018, followed by two further UK performances.
In 1991 Driver’s Seat was catapulted into the charts in the Netherlands reaching number one after being featured in a car ad campaign, which introduced Sniff’n’the Tears to a new generation. This led to the band reforming for a European tour and making the album ‘No Damage Done’. Hollywood films such as Boogie Nights and the TV Series The Walking Dead, have kept Driver’s Seat in the public eye, and it has become a perennial favourite, loved by successive generations.
