Regardless of dancehall’s superstar Vybz Kartel incarceration his influence and popularity remain unprecedented!
The Fever-deejay rose to fame in 2003, steadily climbed the charts and, by public opinion, became known as the King of Dancehall. With his boisterous lyrics riddled with intelligence and with the Worl’Boss impacted not only Jamaica, but people from all over the globe. Addi di Teacher proved to be an allround successful influencer with his own shoe line, a movie role, the first Jamaican reality TV show, a well written book and many more ventures.
One of his biggest musical influences, besides his own career, is the rise of the Portmore Empire which brought forth artists such as Tommy Lee Sparta, Vanessa Bling and Popcaan.
The increased global popularity of the deejay has sparked his fans to be referred to as the prolific “Gaza Nation”. The Gaza Nation, spanning all races, ages and nationalities, is also present in The Netherlands, resulting in regular demands for more of Vybz Kartel’s exhilarating tunes in parties. This call for more Gaza has been heard and shall be answered in the form of an event in Amsterdam.
Patrons can expect a party filled with music by all artists spawning from the Gaza bloodline, but mostly Vybz Kartel.
