The music of Erika de Casier takes you straight back to Y2K. Her music incorporates elements of pop, contemporary R&B, and evokes classics from the 90s and 00s. Erika herself mentions drawing inspiration from artists like Avril Lavigne, Destiny’s Child, and Mariah Carey. The singer was born in Portugal, raised in Denmark, and started singing at a young age in the school band while also creating her own beats. She kicked off her career as part of the R&B duo Saint Cava, but in 2019, she continued as a solo artist with her debut single 'Essentials.' Her talents not only lie in singing her own songs but also in writing for prominent K-pop artists, earning her the title of Songwriter of the Year at the Danish Music Awards 2023. She recently released her latest album 'Still,' and this multi-talent will be featured at the Melkweg in the upcoming year!
