IN-EDIT is back! From 11 to 21 April the sixth edition of the music documentary festival takes place at the Melkweg. Again many great music films will be screened this year, like this animated documentary with the mysterious story of Brazilian jazz pianist Tenório Jr., with live Elizabeth Fadel and a Q&A!

How did Brazilian jazz pianist Tenório Jr. mysteriously disappear in Buenos Aires in 1976? Fictional New York music journalist Jeff Harris (Jeff Goldblum) sets out to discover the truth. This colourful animated documentary, infused with infectious music, recounts the rise of fascist regimes in Latin America and how a musical revolution broke down due to military violence. With interviews with Brazilian music icons such as João Gilberto, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Vinicius de Moraes and Milton Nascimento. Oscar winner Fernando Trueba (Belle époque) once again joins forces with talented artist and cartoonist Javier Mariscal.

Elizabeth Fadel will do a musical introduction and after the film there is a Q&A with Mathilde Médard (Submarine), animator of the film.

Melkweg often hosts different types of programmes at the same time, such as concerts, club nights and films. Please note that there may occasionally be some noise pollution from other programmes during the screening.
