The fantastically animated A Letter To Momo is directed by Hiroyuki Okiura, who is well known for his animation for 1995s Ghost in The Shell. After her father passes away, eleven year old Momo moves to a remote island with her mother. With her she keeps a mysterious letter from her father, which only contains the words "Dear Momo". While she wonders what he wanted to tell her, she discovers a picture book about Japanese spirits in their new home. Soon her life on the island becomes a bizarre one when three troublesome spirits arrive.
