Amapiano is the term used to describe South Africa's fastest-growing electronic music movement. Formed in 2016, Amapiano is a medley of deep house, jazz, kwaito and lounge music. The name is derived from the Zulu plural article “ama” and the English noun “piano. Initially thought to be just an underground sound, Amapiano was soon proven wrong. Amapiano has since expanded its reach beyond South Africa, reaching the charts in countries around the world. AmapianoNL is bringing the vibes to Amsterdam, don't miss out!
