Curated by GIRLS and Melkweg Expo celebrate femininity in all its shapes and sizes! As society makes positive steps towards gender equality and the hard lines between genders blur, what does it mean nowadays to be or feel feminine?
38 international artists will show you an inclusive and diverse interpretation of womanhood, destabilising stereotypes and reframing identity power structures. From armpit hair to curvy rolls, raw or magic images, expressing outspoken opinions or small gestures. A representation of being compassionate, independent and bold. Because femininity is as broad as the universe.
Through photography and art, ‘Curated by Girls: New Femininity’ explores contemporary femininity with a colourful palette and celebrates the softness of the universe.
Observe, contemplate and tell us: what does femininity mean to you?
