Gowtu has been around for eight years. What once started in the small hall of the Melkweg has grown into one of the most famous events focusing on Surinamese music and influences.

Eight years of promoting the Surinamese sound. Eight years of creating a stage. Eight years of bringing the community and our artists together. We are proud of our contribution to raising the profile of the Surinamese sound and its artists. Our mission is succeeding.

To celebrate this milestone, we are organizing a one night only special at Bitterzoet Amsterdam. An evening where we will do something that has never been done before at Bitterzoet. With La Rouge live and the crème de la crème of the Surinamese scene, this promises to be a special evening.
