‘Het Nieuwe Huishouden (The New Household)’ - A festival putting diversity, togetherness and pop music high on the agenda, with Dutch queer acts celebrating diversity at Melkweg on 6 December.
During their first edition, ‘Het Nieuwe Huishouden’ will seek the edges of pop. Initiator Lucas Vermeer, founder of queer discoband Huize Lucas, invites related projects to fill an evening together that celebrates diversity.
Electropop-R&B artist Sophia Habib, country pop queen philine, groovypop choir The Space Choir & synthpop duo KUZKO will be interspersed with DJs and other surprises. The common denominators: their queerness, friendship and love of pop music in any capacity
House of Lucas will close the evening. With an eight-member band, they will serve you Dutch-language disco inspired by Doe Maar, Prince, Daft Punk, Froukje and Connie Palmen. Guest artists, dances, funny (sing-along) lyrics, Rotterdam queer energy and a lot of musicality.
This programme is a collaboration with M.A.R.S. worldwide.
