    Iran in Resistance

An evening by Don’t Stop Talking About Iran

Nasrin Sotoudeh has dedicated many years to defending human rights and women’s rights in Iran. Because of her work, she has been imprisoned multiple times. She is one of thousands of Iranians — activists, journalists, lawyers and artists — who have been fighting for freedom and human rights from within Iran for decades. Not as a geopolitical project, but as a daily reality.

Their struggle deserves more attention than the headlines often give it. Don’t Stop Talking About Iran is organising this evening to highlight the strength of these movements, with a particular focus on the role of women in the resistance.

The programme includes the documentary Nasrin, about the life and work of human rights lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh. After the screening, we will be joined by Mansoureh Shojaee — writer, researcher and long-time activist in the Iranian women’s rights movement — for a conversation.
