June Freedom

June Freedom is coming to Amsterdam for the first time. June Freedom is an international Cape Verdean artist known for blending Afro-Latin rhythms with alt-pop, R&B, and worldbeat. He grew up in Cape Verde, on the island of Fogo — a place that was not only central to his childhood, but also formed the foundation of his creative world. Singing in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Kriolu, June’s multilingual sound reflects his layered identity.

His debut album Anchor Baby was met with critical acclaim. The album quickly became a cultural turning point within the Cape Verdean community and introduced June’s sound to a global audience. June’s live shows take the energy to another level: on stage, his presence is electric and unapologetically bold.
