Get ready for a ‘gloomy’ Valentine’s Day: Mothica is coming to Melkweg with her new EP!
Mckenzie Ellis, the artist behind Mothica, returns with her recently released EP ‘Somewhere In Between’. On the singles ‘WEAPON’, ‘Save Your Roses’, and ‘Evergreen Misery’, she showcases a louder and heavier sound than we are used to from Mothica. For the EP, she collaborated with Elliot Polokoff (Drop Dead Gorgeous), Curt Martin (Catch Your Breath), and Zach Jones (The Home Team, Scene Queen, Fever 333).
‘Evergreen Misery’ is influenced by her love for metalcore and by bands she grew up with, such as Nine Inch Nails, Bring Me The Horizon, and Evanescence. The result is a mix of dark pop, rock, and metal. This evening Mothica will be supported by “Goth Queen” Harpy.
