Music Lab - Meervaart Studio x Melkweg

Meervaart Studio and Melkweg are joining forces for an evening filled with fresh sounds, diverse styles, and emerging talent! From Dutch-language pop, hip-hop, R&B, and soul to indie-house: discover the music of Saafievdg, Veyera, Che Laurent, Wera Misset, Renee de Hon, Aking, and ZIPPORA. Seven artists, each with a unique sound and identity, ready to share them with the audience. Over the past period, these artists have participated in Meervaart Studio’s "Road to Melkweg" music program. Guided by artist Danny Dubb and various music industry professionals, they have been working on their sound, performance, and artistic development. Meervaart Studio offers young creators a space to experiment, grow, and find their own voices, providing workshops, mentorship, and performance opportunities that serve as a springboard to the professional music world. 'Road to Melkweg' brings this development to a single stage: a showcase of new talent straight from the Meervaart Studio community.

Saafievdg is a Dutch rapper known for his raw, honest, and compelling hip-hop. His music serves as his diary—a place where he transforms experiences and feelings into stories that can touch and inspire others.

Veyera (22) is a Dutch-language artist who plays with perception. Her music is direct, unconventional, and made for the "bad guys."

Che Laurent (19) is a popular artist and producer who moves between hip-hop, R&B, trap, and Afro genres. His music is honest, reflective, and dynamic, with emotion and personal stories serving as a common thread.

Wera Misset (24) creates Dutch-language pop music. With personal lyrics, eclectic synths, and influences ranging from jazz and R&B to cabaret-style storytelling, she recounts her down-to-earth journey into adulthood.

Renee de Hon (22) is an emerging artist with a distinctive, low-register voice and a vulnerable, unique style. Accompanied by the piano, she writes open, emotional music in which she freely explores her feelings and ideas.

Aking (20) creates hip-hop, R&B, and soul, driven by a strong need to process thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Drawing inspiration from jazz, soul, and rock, he constantly seeks new ways to translate emotions into music.

ZIPPORA (26) is an energetic pop artist and performer. She writes and produces her own music, blending powerful melodies, electronic production, and soulful influences.
