The hyperpop fairytale of PYXLS
Melkweg speaks with PYXLS founder Bianca to rewind and reflect on the whimsical rollercoaster leading up to a hyper-fuelled ADE edition with Danny L Harle, YoungWoman and Willem Feltzer.

Amsterdam collective PYXLS dives headfirst into hyperpop, giving it a megaphone within the electronic scene.
Hyperpop, you ask? Think of it as a glitchy crossroads where the past, present and future of pop collide. From sugar-sweet hooks to completely unhinged walls of industrial noise — complete with unexpected genre switches that make your brain reboot. Artists such as SOPHIE, Charli XCX, A. G. Cook and Danny L Harle have defined the genre and its sound, pushing it onto the global stage. Much of it can be traced back to London’s PC Music label.
Eurohead blends hardstyle, hyperpop and folk influences into a futuristic club sound. With his distinctive style, he found his way into the inner circle of none other than Skrillex, contributing as a collaborator and co-producer to his recent album. Together with Free Jimi and Screenage DJ, the line-up embodies a forward-thinking club sound that seamlessly aligns with PYXLS’ new vision: hyperpop, PC Music and eurodance-fuelled energy.
