British singer Sam Tompkins was a street musician in his hometown of Brighton for years before securing a record deal with renowned record label Island Records. He owed all this to his big breakthrough via YouTube. This is where he posted his cover of Drake's 'Hold On We're Going Home', which scored a major viral hit and introduced the general public to his extraordinary voice and edgy pop sound packed with influences from R&B and hip-hop. In April, the singer released his single 'numb', which is a preview of his debut album 'hi, my name is insecure' that will be released on July 26. In December the singer will perform at our MAX.
