Starset

American rock band Starset blends genres such as electronic and rock with metal influences into music that we describe as ‘cinematic rock’. The band was formed in 2013 by frontman Dustin Bates, previously known as lead singer of the group Downplay, after which they released their debut album ‘Transmissions’, which debuted at spot 49 on the Billboard 200. Through music, videos and even a book series, the band tells the story of the so-called Starset Society, which is a science fiction-inspired myth Dustin has built around himself. On April 8, he released his second book, ‘A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE FUTURE’, which continues the story. In October, the band returns to Melkweg with a spectacular live show at our MAX!
