Together with Fanclub Centrum, every two months we invite a special 'Amsterdammer' to curate a film night. This time the honour goes to Eke Bosman, known for the Instagram account @snackspert, and together we will watch the nineties black comedy Fargo!
Fargo is a 1996 American black comedy-crime thriller film, written and directed by the Coen brothers. The film stars Frances McDormand as a pregnant Minnesota police chief investigating roadside homicides that ensue after a desperate car salesman (William H. Macy) hires two criminals (Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare) to kidnap his wife in order to extort a hefty ransom from his wealthy father-in-law (Harve Presnell). The film won two Oscars (Best Actress and Screenplay) and was followed by a TV series.
