The Brazilian street band Monobloco is coming to Amsterdam! Lively as ever, Monobloco made a grand impression during Carnival 2024. Thousands of revellers followed the parades in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, as well as enjoying Monobloco Show performances at countless events and festivals throughout Brazil. This year, the megabloco led by Pedro Luís, Celso Alvim, C.A. Ferrari and Sidon Silva brought the theme "Toca esse tambor", inspired by the song composed by Jorge Aragão for Monobloco.
As is tradition, Monobloco has renewed its visual identity, this time created by young Rio designer Chica Capeto, a fan of the bloco and Carnival, who took inspiration from the theme "Toca esse tambor" to create the colourful prints for the 2024 T-shirts and other promotional items.
