Te bezoeken met Museumnacht ticket.
During Museumnacht 2025, As a extension of the Concentrated Motion, Melkweg Expo explores how we connect with one another, through conversation, movement, sound, and craft. From 19:00 till 02:00, the programme brings together different ways of relating: from creating something with someone close to you, to pausing and listening to what your body tells you. An evening to experience how relationships, identity, and creativity intertwine.
20:00 – 21:00: When Bodies Speak: Self vs the Other – Talk
Listen in at 20:00 for a talk (in English) with artist Bodil Ouédraogo and curator Anne Lakeman. The conversation will be moderated by Leia Amerding. Together, they will discuss their collaboration and explore how our bodies and identities relate to our surroundings — and how this connection contributes to building relationships and networks with others. The talk take place in the middle of Bodil and Anne’s exhibition and will be rooted in their artistic practices.
Bodil Ouédraogo
Bodil Ouédraogo explores how fixed ideas about people and objects can be set in motion by introducing alternative hierarchies and perspectives. Through a multidisciplinary approach, she intertwines movement, textiles, photography, film, dance, and sculpture into what she describes as the art of “dressing up.” Her practice is fueled by a deep awareness of interconnectedness. Inspired by the idea — often encountered during her stays in Burkina Faso — that a person never stands alone but is always part of a greater whole, she creates links between personal and collective histories.
Anne Lakeman
Anne Lakeman is a producer and photographer who uses imagery as a tool for research and communication. She applies her skills to empower others in curating exhibitions and organizing events, while simultaneously questioning her own position and role as a photographer. Questions of ownership, power, objectivity, and connectedness are central to her ongoing inquiry and are reflected in the collaborative nature of her practice.
Leia Amerding
Leia Amerding is a curator, creative producer, speaker, and moderator whose work focuses on race theory, contemporary African art, and amplifying the voices of young visual creators of color. She is currently part of the two-year Young OSCAM program.
22:00 – 23:00: Relationship Check-Up: How Healthy Is Your Connection?
At 22:00, you can join an interactive masterclass. Visitors will receive practical and playful tools to “check up” on the vitality and connection within their relationships, whether with a partner, friend, or colleague. Just as your body needs maintenance, relationships do too. Through short exercises and guided questions, participants will discover where their connection is strong and where there is room for growth.
The masterclass will be led by Consuela Esseboom, psychologist and lecturer in Emotional Intelligence, known for her clear and relatable insights on communication within relationships. She is also the founder of The Culture Counselor, a community focused on developing strong personal relationships within the African diaspora through Emotional Intelligence.
00:00 – 01:00: Body Sound Healing
End Museum Night at 00:00 at Melkweg Expo with a soothing sound bath. Process the impressions of the evening with a sound healing session designed to bring you back into your body and into stillness. Expect a unique blend of percussion, singing bowls, and handpan, layered with meditative and rhythmic soundscapes.
The session is guided by Miori, the duo of holistic therapist Naomi He-Ji and producer/multi-instrumentalist Giorgi Dwayne Franklin. Together, they create a space for deep relaxation, silence, and sensory experience

Rambler Studios, based in Amsterdam and Berlin, empowers young creatives to find their path through design. Concentrated Motion
Throughout the whole night you are able to visit Concentrated Motion, a solo exhibition by Bodil Ouédraogo, curated by Anne Lakeman.
Concentrated Motion does not show a finished story. Instead, its aim is to create movement. Stretching space to pause at moments we usually overlook, making unfamiliar connections that shift how we see. Through different media across Bodil's practice, such as fashion, movement, photography, sculpture, soundscapes, textile and video, she has been building alternative realities that offer different hierarchies, perspectives, and ways of being. A space within a space, in which imagination can meet reality, and morph into different media.
