Soen saw the light of day in 2010 when ex-Opeth drummer Martin Lopez and Sadus/Testament/Death bassist Steve Di Giorgio (who is no longer with the band)came together to make heavy progressive music. Together with Willowtree singer Joel Ekelof, the band released their first album 'Cognitive' in 2012. With a sound that is on the crossroads of bands like Opeth, Tool and Pink Floyd,  the band has an exciting sound of its own.

Last year the band was on our stage in honor of their latest album 'Imperial'. A special album. In addition to the band experimenting with a new sound, the record was produced by Iñaki Marconi and mixed and mastered by Kane Churko, who worked with Ozzy Osbourne and Bob Dylan, among others.
