It has been 20 years since the figurative murder on the dancefloor. That's when newly 21-year-old Sophie Ellis-Bextor released the now iconic single and her biggest hit "Murder On The Dancefloor," the most played song in Europe that year. A year earlier, she stormed into the charts with the equally infectious club hit "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)," by French house producer Spiller. After her debut album "Read My Lips" accounted for a whopping 2 million copies, the groovy stunner "Get Over You" followed a year later.
Last fall, Sophie released the critically acclaimed album "Songs From The Kitchen Disco," featuring her greatest hits, as well as a selection of her phenomenal Kitchen Disco performances during the lockdown. On March 2, the singer returns to our building after 20 years, and this eve is now already iconic!
