Stomp the Yard (2007)

This year, we are celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop culture with a series of unique films, together with The Spot and friends. Since its birth at a party in The Bronx in 1973, the genre loved by many worldwide has grown into a powerful movement that has shaped contemporary culture like no other. Iconic moments and stories will be revisited with films and talks. So, join us for a chat, a beat, some drinks and celebrate Hip Hop with us! 

This second edition we will screen Stomp the Yard, chosen by singer/rapper Ray Fuego. This 2007 drama tells the story of an expert street dancer who goes to Georgia after the death of his brother, to attend Truth University. But his efforts to get an education and woo the girl he likes are sidelined when he joins in his fraternity's effort to win a step dancing competition.
