The High Kings

Dublin-based The High Kings is one of Ireland's leading folk bands. Their debut album was immediately awarded the title "Irish Folk Band of the Year" back in 2008, and the four subsequent albums were awarded Platinum in their home country. They have played to sold-out venues in the UK, Germany, the United States and the Netherlands, among others, and played the Melkweg in 2018. With more than 13 instruments, these multi-instrumentalists play with a lot of passion and energy, and they are internationally known as a phenomenal live band. Their setlist includes not only their own songs, but also well-known Irish ballads and traditional sing-a-longs for the whole audience to fully enjoy. Their performances are an unforgettable experience, full of emotion and energy. This year, The High Kings are celebrating their 15th anniversary with the release of new album 'The Road Not Taken' in June and worldwide tour!
