If you've seen The Hu live in Melkweg before, you know how unique the band's sound is. The band plays a combination of heavy metal and traditional Mongolian throat singing.
The so-called 'Hunnu Rock' combines rock music with traditional Mongolian instruments such as the Morin Khuur (horsehead violin), Tovshuur (Mongolian guitar), Tumur Khuur (jaw harp), throat singing and the bombastic bass and drums of rock. The Mongolian metal band managed to become hugely popular in a very short time after the videos for “Yuve Yuve Yu” and “Wolf Totem” were viewed millions of times on YouTube. In 2019 the band released debut album 'The Gereg'
