Together with Fanclub Centrum, every two months we invite a special 'Amsterdammer' to curate a film night. This time the honour goes to Dutch actor Shahine El-Hamus (De Belofte van Pisa, Crypto Boy) and together we will watch Jacques Audiard's prison drama 'Un Prophète' from 2009.
19-year-old illiterate Malik El Djebena has been sentenced to six years in prison. When he is cornered by the leader of the Corsican gang that controls the prison, he is forced to carry out a number of tasks. This makes him stronger and wins him the trust of the gang leader.
