The year Blaudzun releases his first greatest hits album and takes center stage in Ronald Giphart’s much-discussed book, marks his return to Melkweg for a special concert. A club show with his full band, where his compelling indie pop is able to breathe freely: grand, intense, and rich in detail. From “Promises of No Man’s Land” to “Real Hero” and “Hey Now”: Over the past twenty years, Blaudzun has grown into one of the most distinctive and beloved voices of Dutch alternative pop. His music effortlessly balances between melancholy and euphoria, between stillness and explosion.

This show is the very first official OORMERK show: a new initiative that, together with artists, venues, and sound engineers, aims to demonstrate that live music doesn’t have to get louder and louder to make an impact.
