Sampa the Great is a poet, singer-songwriter and visual artist striving for positive change and empowerment. Her music is a unique fusion of abstract hip-hop beats, African influences, spiritual neo-soul and R&B. Zambian-born Sampa spent most of her childhood in Botswana. She was also a big hip-hop fan from a young age. When she moved to Australia as a teenager, she quickly settled into Sydney's hip-hop scene. After releasing her debut mixtape "The Great," her following grew explosively, and she did not go unnoticed overseas either. Sampa the Great has already appeared at major festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Coachella and Glastonbury, and next winter it's our Max's turn!
