The impact of the unforgettable performance by Turkish folk legend Selda at Le Guess Who? in 2014 still reverberates in the life of Artistic Director (AB) Kurt Overbergh. It marked the beginning of his tireless quest for irresistibly danceable – often politically charged – Turkish psychedelia. Legends like Erkin Koray, Barış Manço, and Edip Akbayram are seamlessly mixed on the turntables with contemporary favorites such as Altın Gün, Derya Yıldırım, and Gaye Su Akyol. Standing still is not an option, as proven by his sets at Bozar, De Roma, Ancienne Belgique, and even Tomorrowland.

Kaynaş, pronounced as 'kay-nash,' is the Turkish word for "coming together" or "blending." This one-day festival provides the perfect stage for musical fusion. Melkweg and EBB Music seamlessly bring together ancient and contemporary sounds. Beloved folklore and traditional music come to life in intriguing interpretations of today. Musically, this manifests in brilliant psych folk, mesmerizing saz melodies, and electronic beats.
