Melkweg welcomes Club Annie

In October, we’re opening a new club and creative space in the heart of Amsterdam: Annie. Located just across the street at Lijnbaansgracht 238, it’s a place where club culture, performance and community come together in a softer, more playful and freer alternative to the traditional nightclub. The first club nights include LIEVER LESBIES, PAARDENRAVE and a 30-hour weekender during ADE.

At Club Annie, several residents will host a multidisciplinary club night multiple times a year. Together with these long-term partners, we’re not just building a programme, but a community that helps shape the club, feels at home there and can grow alongside the space. Local residents PAARDENRAVE, The Late Night Show, Da Funkshun Nightmarket, LIEVER LESBIES and PYXLS are given the space to develop programmes rooted in their own vision and communities, bringing music, performance and experimentation together.

Club Annie has its own distinct artistic identity, while being supported by Melkweg’s professional infrastructure. This allows makers to focus on artistic development and community, with support in production, technical operations, marketing, ticketing, hospitality and artist support. In this way, Annie combines the energy of a creative cultural space with the expertise of an established cultural organisation.

The arrival of Club Annie has been made possible in part by the long-standing partnership between Melkweg and Grolsch. Together, we’re creating space for new makers, cultural innovation and emerging scenes. With Club Annie, we’re investing in the next generation of nightlife makers and helping shape the future of Amsterdam’s nightlife.
