Finale Amsterdamse Popprijs

After five thunderous preliminary rounds and two successful semi-finals, it's time for the grand finale of the Amsterdam Pop Prize 2022 on Saturday, November 19! The selection of thirty bands resulted in twelve semi-finalists, of which six finalists then remained. On November 19, Max Hell, Sachee, Panda Noir, Cloud Cafe, ALOYSE and Liam Pek will compete for the win in the OZ at Melkweg Amsterdam.

De Amsterdamse Popprijs is the band competition for Amsterdam bands of all styles. In its twenty-six years of existence, the "Pop Prize" has become an institution. The competition gives bands the chance to present themselves to audiences, media and the music industry and to play at renowned venues in Amsterdam. For many participants, the Pop Prize also proved to be a springboard to a successful career. Winners include Marathon, Ben Forte, WIES, TAPE TOY, Jagd, Sarah-Jane, The Great Communicators and Yori Swart.

During the finals, the six Amsterdam bands will each get 20 minutes to present themselves in front of a professional jury. The winner of the Amsterdam Pop Award will go home with a prize package including studio time at Studio peggy51, a studio photoshoot by Richard Tas Photography, 24/7 rehearsals for a period of 3 months at Treehouse NDSM, a voucher from Dijkman Muziek, a voucher for rehearsals at Q-Factory and more.
