Australian formation San Cisco returns to Melkweg after a decade! Their charming indie pop is inspired by artists like MGMT, The Flaming Lips and Vampire Weekend, translating into highly addictive songs. After the international success of their single "Akward" (which became a megahit at 3FM in 2013), they completed four entire albums since.
March 2024 will mark the release of their brand new album, 'Under The Light' - of which the first singles already embrace both a new and familiar sound. From the rowdy track 'High' about euphoric love, to 'Honeycomb': a glitzy pop song about self-love, incorporating slight electronic influences. Fans of their groovy indie rock will appreciate 'Under The Light' and 'Lost Without You.' With a different band lineup, and plenty of new material, they will visit our Upstairs on May 30.
