IN-EDIT is back! From 13 to 23 April the fifth edition of the music documentary festival takes place at the Melkweg. Again many great music films will be screened this year, like this documentary about the sound engineer Bruce Swedien.

In every profession there is someone who changes the rules of the game. In music, that person is Bruce Swedien. Bruce Swedien was probably the best sound engineer in history, having worked on recordings by jazz giants such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Dizzy Gillespie. Sonic Fantasy narrates the gripping story of how, in 1982, with the record industry in free fall, he worked his magic to save none other than Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones’ Thriller, the best-selling album in history. For the first time, those involved in that project tell the unknown story behind the work that Bruce did and how his talent ended up being an essential piece in the history of popular culture. Basically, Sonic Fantasy introduces you to the man behind the best music you've ever heard!
