Together with Heat, an Agency that represents filmmakers, we present a bi-monthly movie night curated by their wide array of passioned creators, designed for everyone looking to connect and be inspired. Every edition will center around a unique host and their inspiring guests; they’ll select a main film that showcases what they are all about and motivates them within their creative field. And they will take you on a two-hour journey into their vision.

This first edition will be hosted by Safi Graauw, with 2017's A Monster Calls as the main film. In this beautiful visual drama, 12-year-old Conor O'Malley (Lewis MacDougall) flees into his fantasy world to escape reality. Because his mother (Felicity Jones) is seriously ill, he has to live with his cold-hearted grandmother (Sigourney Weaver). He is bullied at school and his father (Toby Kebbell) lives thousands of miles away from him. Unexpectedly, Conor summons the most unlikely ally: a colossal monster (Liam Neeson) who visits him at night to tell stories. Under the monster's wild guidance, Conor embarks on a journey of courage, hope and truth to face his ultimate nightmare and accept reality.

With his documentaries and films, earth scientist and director Safi Graauw hopes to bridge the gap between man and nature. As a director, he makes fiction, commercials and documentaries, and his work has won several awards. You may know him from the Dutch series Koeriers and Ruimteschip Aarde, as well as his nature documentaries for National Geographic and Justdiggit.
