The American rock band Extreme made their breakthrough in the early nineties with an infectious mix of funk and hard rock. With the album 'Pornograffitti', the band launched itself into the mainstream. Of course with the acoustic world hit 'More Than Words'. But on this record the foursome also showed their versatility. Think of the groovy hard rock riffs on hits like Get The Funk Out and Decadence Dance, for example. The success band of the band also seeped into the movies and series. Extreme songs could be heard in Bill & Ted and Stranger Things!
In June of 2023 the band will release a new record 'SIX'. About the record, band member Nuno Bettencourt shares: “When Eddie Van Halen passed, it really hit me, I’m not going to be the one who will take the throne, but I felt some responsibility to keep guitar playing alive. So, you hear a lot of fire on the record.”
