18:30 Doors 19:00 Friday (1995)

This year, we are celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop culture with a series of unique films, together with The Spot and friends. Since its birth at a party in The Bronx in 1973, the genre loved by many worldwide has grown into a powerful movement that has shaped contemporary culture like no other. Iconic moments and stories will be revisited with films and talks. So, join us for a chat, a beat, some drinks and celebrate Hip Hop with us!

This third edition we are screening Friday, selected by rapper Georgy Dendoe (Gunpla GG). This buddy comedy is a dive into American corner culture, social life on the sidewalk as also seen in such classics as Boyz n the Hood (1991), written by rapper Ice Cube and DJ Pooh. The film is a hilarious day in the life of two friends in L.A.: Craig (Ice Cube) wakes up, his best friend Smokey (Chris Tucker) comes over, tells him about his plans and Craig has to look for a new job. Together they dive into all sorts of strange adventures in encounters, provided with lots of booze and drugs.
