Life as an artist really began for country singer Stephen Wilson Jr. when he moved to Nashville, where he signed a record deal and had his songs recorded by such stars as Brothers Osborne and Caitlyn Smith. In 2023, he released his own music for the first time, self-described as “Death Cab For Country”. With his blend of indie rock, grunge and country, he creates his own sound influenced by artists such as The National, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp and Nirvana. On his debut album 'Son of Dad', he pays tribute to his father with songs such as 'Grief Is Only Love' and 'Father's Son'. The singer has previously performed with Midland, Hailey Whitters and The Lone Bellow, and this fall his headlining tour starts including a stop at the Melkweg. In November he will perform at our UP!
